WELCOME TO OUR 2024 SEASON!
We invite you to join us in 2024 for a season of discoveries with your city’s chamber orchestra. For these concerts, our artistic director Sophie Rowell weaves a narrative about the many ways music speaks to us. All will be revealed through a rich and insightful curation of music and the brilliance of our musicians.
We will make music in harmony with a stellar roster of guests: percussion virtuoso Claire Edwardes OAM, violist and chamber music icon Chris Moore, trumpet sensation Owen Morris, and Finnish-Australian cellist Timo-Veikko Valve, joining us as both soloist and guest-director.
Superstars in their own right, Polyphonic Voices join us for a monumental season highlight, MCO’s first performances of Handel’s Messiah. We’ll be joined by four talented vocal soloists for Handel’s triumphant oratorio in November, co-directed by Michael Fulcher.
