Musical Dialogues: From Bach to Bluegrass showcases the principal players of the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra in an intimate evening of chamber music spanning three centuries. The centrepiece of the program is Beethoven’s dramatic and turbulent early String Quartet in C minor Opus 18 No 4.
From the timeless counterpoint of Bach Inventions to the virtuosity and rhythmic vitality of Bluegrass masters Edgar Meyer and Mark O’Connor, this concert is a celebration of the versatility and expressive capacity of string playing.
