Grigoryan to replace Denoth for España!

Melbourne’s favourite guitarist Slava Grigoryan will join Melbourne Chamber Orchestra for a one-off performance of Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez this Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
Ahead of his performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Slava has offered to stand in for Swiss guitarist Christoph Denoth. Professor Denoth has reluctantly withdrawn from this performance for health reasons but hopes to rejoin the orchestra for our upcoming regional tour.
Slava is part of the MCO family, being married to former MCO Cellist Sharon Draper, who together have just welcomed their first child.
The Rodrigo Concierto, with its haunting cor anglais solo forms the heart of MCO’s España! program alongside Spanish favourites by Granados and Albéniz. So grab your castanets, brush up your flamenco and join MCO as we welcome the extraordinary Slava Grigoryan to the Melbourne Recital Centre this Sunday.
