A chamber music recital taking us off-piste in the best possible way. MCO Principal Bass Emma Sullivan has curated a concert of curiosities for flute, viola & bass. Think of it as the soprano, alto and bass of the orchestra!
There’s music by Joseph Haydn’s brother Michael; bass composer David Heyes; Stravinsky contemporary Erwin Schulhoff; the leading flautist of Mozart’s time, Devienne; and leading Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin.
Emma is joined by colleagues Laila Engle (flute) and Merewyn Bramble (viola) for this recital.
