Castlemaine Festival: Sophie Rowell at Buda
Could things get more special than intimate performances from some of this Festival’s biggest draws, set among gorgeous gardens?
The historic house of Buda plays host to these indoor Salon sessions. It’s an immaculately preserved villa of the gold-rush era and has an aviary, tennis pavilion and grape pergola on its stunning grounds. With a limited capacity per show, you’re guaranteed unplugged, pared-back sets that get to the very essence of the artists.
Our New Artistic Director Sophie Rowell explores her life as a soloist, chamber musician and principal orchestra violinist, through works by Bach, Biber and Julian Yu among others.
