Be transported by the greatest work of American music.

Appalachian Spring

A soaring evocation of the American spirit in sound, Appalachian Spring is the most enduringly popular work by the dean of American composers. Originally written as a chamber ballet for Martha Graham, MCO performs this Pulitzer Prize-winning work in its original chamber suite form.

London and Melbourne-based pianist Daniel de Borah is a fearless interpreter with a virtuoso technique to match. To end our 2014 season, Daniel will perform Shostakovich’s high-octane Piano Concerto No. 1.

Praise for Daniel de Borah:
“near-faultless precision and eloquence” The Age
